Tina & Danny’s Punjabi Wedding11.18.13
This past summer I had the pleasure of shooting Tina & Danny’s amazing punjabi wedding. The day started off with getting ready shots of the groom at the Saddle Brook Marriot, followed by a traditional Sikh ceremony at the Glen Rock Gurdwara, and ended with an amazing reception at the Royal Palace in Garfield, NJ. The wedding was full of traditions, food, color, emotions, energy, and lots of family and friends. I spent about 18 hours shooting from start to finish, but enjoyed documenting every second of it–from getting ready, pre-ceremony dances, the beautiful Sikh ceremony, and a grand reception with multiple “bhangra” performances in the evening! It was an amazing day and was nothing short of beautiful. Congratulations Tina & Danny!
You might remember Jillian from Gina & Sam’s wedding that I shot a few years ago. Jillian is actually Sam’s niece. Jillian contacted me to shoot her wedding which will be in May of 2014. I absolutely loved their location choice for their engagement session-Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ! Not only is it local, it is also one of the most scenic and artistic locations in NJ. A great spot for an engagement or wedding photos. I’ll be shooting their wedding there as well, so excited! Here are a few of my favorites from their engagement shoot.
Here are some of my favorites from Adam & Amber’s engagement session I shot back in April at the Cape May Lighthouse. Check out the panorama photo of the Amber and Adam-this was my first attempt at creating a “Brenizer Method” panorama. For the non-photogs out there, the brenizer method is a panoramic stitching technique. Unlike traditional panoramas shot with wide angle lenses, the brenizer method is best achieved with a medium telephoto lens with a wide aperture, such as Canon’s 85mm 1.2 L (which is the lens I used). Multiple photos are taken using a wide open aperture, and then stitched together in post. This creates a wide angle image with a very shallow depth of field, something which can’t be achieved with regular wide angle lenses.
Can’t wait for the wedding in October!
I had the pleasure of shooting Nick & Nikki’s wedding on Dec 1st, 2012. It was a blast photographing the guys for a change. We had unusually warm weather that day which enabled us to take a lot of great shots outside on the grounds of St. Andrews church, in Newtown PA (which is also were the ceremony took place). After the ceremony we took bridal party pictures at Bucks county college, and the reception was held at the Bucks hotel in Feasterville, PA.
I shot Heather & Chris’s wedding at the beautiful Highlawn Pavilion in West Orange. The Highlawn’s patio overlooks the new york city skyline, which makes for a picture perfect backdrop. Check out more images from this awesome november wedding on my facebook page. Heather & Chris, thank you so much for having me shoot your big day!
Missy & Mo got married on 10/20/2012 at the Mill at Spring Lake, with a few getting ready and first look shots at the Chateau, and portraits on the beach at Spring Lake. The mill’s grounds and close proximity to the beach make it a beautiful place for a wedding. Enjoy the photos and congrats Missy & Mo!
