I had the pleasure of shooting Samia & Irphan’s nikkah and wedding a few weeks ago. Samia & Irphan were a blast to work with–very easy going, and a very playful couple. The wedding was at the Spring Mill Manor in Ivyland, PA. Congrats Samia and Irphan and thanks for letting me capture your day!
Dana & Dennis were a fun couple to work with! We shot getting ready, first look, ceremony and reception all at the Windsor Ballroom. Despite the cold we managed to go outside for a few quick photos. Thank you for entrusting me with your day, and Congratulations!
I had the pleasure of shooting Nick & Nikki’s wedding alongside Chris from Cheng Photography on Dec 1st, 2012. This was my first time second shooting for another photographer, and I had a blast! I was able to get more creative with the shots since most of the “pressure” of being the primary photographer was not on me. Nick and the rest of the guys were a pleasure to photograph, we had a blast during our shoot. We had unusually warm weather that day which enabled us to take a lot of great shots outside on the grounds of St. Andrews church, in Newtown PA (which is also were the ceremony took place). After the ceremony we took bridal party pictures at bucks county college, and the reception was held at the bucks hotel in feasterville, PA.
I shot Heather & Chris’s wedding at the beautiful Highlawn Pavilion in West Orange. The Highlawn’s patio overlooks the new york city skyline, which makes for a picture perfect backdrop. Missy & Mo got married on 10/20/2012 at the Mill at Spring Lake, with a few getting ready and first look shots at the Chateau, and portraits on the beach at Spring Lake. The mill’s grounds and close proximity to the beach make it a beautiful place for a wedding. Enjoy the photos and congrats Missy & Mo!
I shot Lauren & Darren’s wedding at the Stockton Inn in Stockton NJ. The waterfalls and gardens on the grounds of the Stockton Inn make it a beautiful place for a wedding. Despite the rain the wedding was a blast to photograph and a great time was had by all! Congrats Lauren & Darren!
Hiring the right photographer is probably the most important wedding decision you’ll make-5, 15, even 50 years from your wedding,
your album will be the living memories you share with you children and grandchildren.
When selecting a photographer there should be a few things you should look for:
1. How much experience and knowledge do they have. An experienced photographer knows there are many different elements that make a great photograph: lens selection, composition and perspective, posing, lighting, etc. Many factors come into play when making you look your very best.
2. Are they able to show you multiple galleries of FULL weddings they have shot from start to finish
3. Do they have sample albums that they can show you?
4. Do they use only high end professional equipment which will allow for the shot to be captured under any circumstances (low light, bad light, etc) Examples of equipment a professional should be using: full frame camera’s, fast lenses designed for low light situations(lenses should have a maximum aperture of 2.8, or even better 1.4) , off camera lighting, etc. In addition, do they have backup camera’s, lenses, lighting, memory cards, etc.?
5. Are they comfortable to work with?
6. Are they good communicators?
7. Do they have a studio or home office, and if so is it kept neat and clean?
8. Will they be sending a sub contracted photographer to shoot your wedding, or will they be present themselves? (Yes, I do know of some companies that will do this)
9. Do they have reviews online that you can look at? If so are they all positive? Please check out my outstanding reviews here.
10. Do they have their own liability insurance? Most venues will require this.
As you can see wedding photography is serious business. Your wedding is not the time for a young inexperienced photographer to be experimenting. Choose wisely!
