I had a blast shooting Dolly and Ajay's Jersey City engagement photos by the Hyatt. The location was beautiful, we had sunny skies with a beautiful backdrop of the New York City skyline. Dolly and Ajay flew in from California to have me capture their engagement photos in Jersey City. This has to be one of my favorite engagement sessions. I started off shooting some natural light portraits, but then changed it up to add some off camera lighting to create more dramatic images. This particular image was shot with a off camera strobe, without it, I would not have been able to capture the sunny skies (without the strobe the skies would have been way overexposed). As an experienced photographer you need to be able to know when to add additional light, and when to be able to use natural light. I captured some of my favorite engagement session photos during this shoot, not just because of the location but also because I had such an awesome couple to work with. If you do decide to shoot at this location, I highly recommend that you're photographer have at least a 600w strobe to combat the harsh light that can present itself during the midday sun.
